November: Taking Care Of Time
Do we go through time as if we are the moving part and time is stationary? Or does time go through us? Or are time and us moving at the same time but at different paces? If a human year is seven years to a dog, then how much time is a day to my dog? When did time start and when was it put on a watch?
October was yesterday but I barely remember October 1st, actually I barely remember Monday. But that may also have to do with my short term memory.
Personally I love these kinds of questions! In this exact moment, time is beginning for someone.
In the day to day, perhaps there isn’t too much to report other than the usual activities, but as we broaden our scope, enlarge our lenses, we see so much more.
Something big is happening all the time if you broaden the view enough. Which is obvious, if you open a curtain, you obviously see more of what is outside.
In no other time in history have we been able to see so much at such a rapid rate. The world is at our fingertips, literally.
We see the violence, the war, the innovations, the advancements, and devastating setbacks.
In a mere minute we take in hours of moments of breakthroughs and breaking news.
Time changes everything.
So maybe the answer is that we do move through time and the only power we can have is what we do within that tunnel of time.
I am perpetually late, but speaking beyond being late or early, that’s almost another conversation. I am saying, everyone’s time here is important.
What are you doing today? Are you sure?
November is here and soon it will have passed, the holidays are pretty much here and today I am grateful. Here, right now is what is truly mine.
Here and now, I can also take care of the time of others when I can.
Here and Now.
